Este chá tem origens combinadas:
- A flor de cravo (Syzygium aromaticum) vem das Ilhas Molucas, na Indonésia, conhecidas como “ilhas das especiarias”.
- A canela (Cinnamomum verum ou Cinnamomum cassia) tem origem no Sri Lanka (antigo Ceilão) e no sul da Índia.
